Halibut and Rockfish time!
Deepwater rockfish season opened April 1, and starting May 1 the season moves to nearshore. Tomales Bay is starting to warm up, and with the warmer water comes the halibut and striped bass bite. April is our chance to venture far offshore in search of giant lings, boccacia and other groundfish. The days are long but the rewards are great! In May we'll start inshore trips. Our main offering is a full-day salmon or halibut charter. We'll pick you up at sunrise and head to the most promising fishing grounds for our target species, either within Tomales Bay for halibut or out onto the ocean for salmon. We're generally back to the shore by 4 or 5pm, sometimes significantly earlier if we catch our limits in the morning. The whole-boat, whole-day charter is $1200 for up to four passengers and includes all fishing gear and basic fish cleaning. Filleting may be available as time allows.

During tuna season, we offer trips far offshore. These will typically leave 30 minutes before sunrise, and sometimes don't return until after dark. We often put in 100+ miles on the water and 12 hour days. Cost is $1600 for up to four anglers.

We also offer last-minute "Hop-aboard" charters, usually for salmon. When the captain is heading out fishing and doesn't have a full-boat charter booked, he'll sometimes announce one of these trips on Instagram and our mailing list. These are appropriate for more experienced fisherman who don't need much assistance, as the captain will also be fishing. Cost is $300 for one hop-aboard, or $500 for two sharing one downrigger. Gear is included by request, or feel free to bring your own.
